Opening in February 1948, the Miner Theatre is one of the few single screen movie houses left in Wisconsin that is still showing first run movies in an original 1940s atmosphere, with the presentation of digital sound and sight. Designed by premiere theatre architects of the day, Liebenberg and Kaplan, the Miner was the flagship of the Miner Amusement Co. and featured many luxuries of the time, such as, a sunken lounge, heated sidewalk, box sections, stadium seating, specialized acoustics, and air conditioning.

Several renovation and restoration projects are going on this year to commemorate the 75th anniversary, including new seats and repainting.
